Brookside fans go wild as 90s soap legends reunite on glam night out 21 years after controversial soap’s axe
Brookside fans have gone wild after spotting 90s soap legends reunited on a glam night out in town 21 years after the controversial soap’s axe.
Claire Sweeney, 53, and Louis Emerick, 64, AKA Brookside's Lindsey Corkhill and Mick Johnson, were spotted at Disney's Aladdin pantomime at Liverpool's Empire Theatre.
Former Loose Women panellist Claire was out for a night with her mum and friends. She looked fabulous as she stepped out in a red and black jump-suit and her blonde locks curled.
Even though it was 20 years since she starred with her fellow Brookie and Corrie actor Louis, she looked not a day older.
Many will remember the days when they both worked on the soap set on Brookside Close in Liverpool in the nineties.
Claire played Lindsey - Jimmy Corkhill's daughter, while Louis played Mick and both had explosive storylines.

Mick was embroiled in a love triangle, was a father struggling to bring up his children and had a difficult euthanasia storyline.
Meanwhile, Lindsey was the son of criminal Jimmy and had an affair with her neighbour Mike Dixon, endured an attempted rape, was framed for drugs and was imprisoned in a Thai cell for months.
Louis left the close in 2001, while Claire left in 2003.
Both went on to other gigs, with Claire juggling dishing out her opinions on Loose Women with stage roles in Educating Rita, Chicago and Legally Blonde.

Louis went on to appear in Matthew Vaughn's 2004 crime film Layer Cake alongside Daniel Craig.
But the pair have also worked on Coronation Street, albeit at different times.
Claire has played Cassie Plummer on Coronation Street since 2023, while Louis has also made cameos on the show as a white van man and retired teacher Mike Thornbury.
Now she was back to support her friend while visiting with her mum and fans were delighted to see both of the legends.
They posed for a photograph together with Al Clinton and Pete Price - the narrator of the Rocky Horror Show with Jason Donovan.
Claire appreciates Aladdin, as she has performed in shows at the New Wimbledon Theatre in South London, Nottingham's Theatre Royal, and the Liverpool Empire.
She posted photos of herself with her co-stars and said:
"Lovely night watching with Mum "
