Ruth Langsford shares health update on elderly mum as she visits her in hospital after Eamonn Holmes reaches out
RUTH Langsford has shared a health update with fans after her elderly mum was rushed to hospital following a fall.
The Loose Women anchor took to Instagram to share a snapshot showing her mum having half-tackled a crossword while in her bed on the medical ward.
Joan, 93, suffered a recent fall and broke her pelvis, with Ruth keeping her social media followers in the loop on her recovery.
In a fresh caption, Ruth, 65, wrote: "Hospital visit….thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum.
"She’ll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she’ll be home for Christmas."
The former This Morning anchor then took to the comments section to reply to one fan, who wrote: "Aw bless her, I bet she is a model patient.

"Hopefully she will be better soon and home soon for Christmas, have a lovely Christmas."
Mum of one Ruth was quick to reply: "She is a model patient.
"Although a bit discombobulated."

Last week, Ruth took to social media to break the sad news of her mum's injury, admitting her Christmas plans had been thrown into chaos.
Sharing a clip of her elderly mum dancing in her kitchen while peeling potatoes, Ruth penned: "No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas….
"She’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis! She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now.
"She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon.
TV star Ruth added: "This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too.

It came shortly after The Sun exclusively revealed how former This Morning anchor Eamonn and his former wife Ruth were pushing for a "quickie divorce."
The pair's terms for their split have now come to light following their shock split in May.
