BBC confirms hit Saturday night game show with celebrity host will return
A BELOVED BBC Saturday night game show is returning for another series.
The programme has become a firm favourite among audiences since debuting four years ago.
Comedian and writer Michael McIntyre created and presents The Wheel.
Five series have aired to date - and the show will be back for another with the search for new contestants underway.
A notice is inviting applicants aged 18 and over to potentially appear on the programme.
Those interested in applying must also have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the closing date for series six is May 30, 2025.
Each episode features three possible contestants, who are spun into the game at random.
Seven celebrities also appear as a self appointed "expert" on a topic.
They sit in chairs around a large wheel and are spun in to help whichever contestant is in play.
However, luck of the draw means this may not necessarily be on their topic of expertise.
The programme's success has seen big names make guest appearances.
Earlier this year, singing sensation Robbie Williams gatecrashed the BBC show - leaving host Michael stunned.
Robbie's wife, Loose Women star Ayda Field was due to star on the new series, albeit solo, playing as an expert on her spouse.
During the show as host Michael introduced a civilian contestant to the competition, the Let Me Entertain You singer made a surprise appearance.
Arriving in dramatic fashion, the former Take That star rose up from the depths of the studio floor.
Michael exclaimed: “No! That’s done something weird to my brain. Okay, so hi, how’s it going?”

The BBC are looking for new contestants to star in hit game show The Wheel.
Hosted by Michael McIntyre, the programme sees a group of celebrity "experts" in different topics attempt to help contenders win big money.

All potential contestants must be 18 or over and have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Robbie then introduced himself just like any other contestant, saying: “I’m Robbie, I’m 50 and I’m from Stoke-On-Trent.
“I’m an Aquarius and I auditioned for a pop band and I got in and they were called Take That.”

When asked what he'd do with potential prize money, the singer responded: “I need to figure out a way to pay for my wife’s glam.
"To keep my wife in handbags, shoes and foundation.”
