TV actress who promised ‘truths will come out’ shelves plans for tell-all autobiography after years of delays
The book was also set to lift the lid on a celeb romance
ACTRESS Sheridan Smith has shelved her autobiography after having second thoughts about sharing her private life.
The Royle Family actress, 43, announced her book Honestly in 2021 to be released in October that year but it faced multiple delays.

Sheridan, who appeared in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps from 2001 to 2009, had worked with a ghostwriter but the book has now been axed.
She was set to open up about her struggles with alcohol and mental health.
And the West End star was expected to cover her romances with actor James Corden and insurance broker Jamie Horn, with whom she has son Billy, four.
But Sheridan, who played Rudi in the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special is said to have now backed out of spilling the beans on her rollercoaster life.

In 2021, she revealed the book would delve into “my darkest moments”.
She said: “A lot of truths will come out!”
A source said: “Sheridan’s book has, to all intents and purposes, been shelved.
“It’s not going to see the light of day.

“Sheridan has had a busy few years and didn’t have time to put the finishing touches to the book.
“Her mindset is different now and she doesn’t want this version to come out.

“She felt unsure whether she wants to put all of her life on pages for everyone to read.”
Those close to Sheridan insisted she still wants to finish her book in the future, but that she has been too busy.
She filmed upcoming ITV drama, I Fought the Law, this summer.
Publishing house Penguin did not respond to requests for comment.
