Liam was a mentor on the show, which is aiming to form 'the next great music group'

Liam, 31, who died in October after a hotel balcony fall in Buenos Aires, Argentina, filmed his scenes in the talent show in Manchester in the summer.

He was a mentor along with former Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, 46, and Kelly Rowland, 43, from Destiny’s Child.

The show’s aim is to form “the next great music group” from 50 hopefuls without the would-be stars meeting.

A source said: “Netflix and the production company will meet Liam’s family to make sure they are happy with Building the Band airing in 2025.

“Nothing will be finalised until they have given their blessing.

“Those who worked on it say it captures Liam in a beautiful light and highlights his passion for helping others.

“It is the last thing he worked on and he comes across so well.”

Show executive producer Cat Lawson called the series a “brave and bold undertaking”.
