Avicii’s chilling final words revealed 6 years after his death as pal says ‘I could have fixed it’ in new Netflix doc
AVICII'S chilling final words have been revealed six years after his death as his pal says 'I could have fixed it' in a new Netflix documentary.
The Swedish DJ found fame with hits including Wake Me Up and Hey Brother during his short but illustrious career.
But despite his success, Avicii - real name Tim Bergling - struggled with his mental health while in the limelight, and ended up sadly taking his own life in April 2018 aged just 28.
Now, six years after his death, a new Netflix documentary called I'm Tim explores his life, career and death.
Released on the streaming service today, it features interviews with his friends, family and team as well as archive footage from his birth right through to his final days.
In one sad scene, his close friend Jesse Waits discussed Tim's state of mind in his final weeks.

The pair had become like brothers after meeting once Tim had found success, and while Jesse knew his friend had problems, he hadn't realised the full extent of how deep rooted they ran.
He said: "I don't think anybody really know why or what happened, nobody really knows what was going through his mind, everybody can speculate.
"He seemed good to everybody I talked to that were around him, he was in a good place. It's hard to accept."
In fact, his friends and family thought nothing of it when Tim said he was heading to Oman for a holiday, having recently learned the benefits of meditation and spirituality.

But once in Muscat, something happened which lead things to take a dark turn for the star.
Jesse said: "I know this is something that is inevitable, but if I was there I could have fixed it.
"Whatever he was going through, I'd been like, 'F*****g shut the f**k up, f*****g put your shoes on, and let's go out f*****g outside for a walk.
"I'm sure everybody feels that they could have changed something, especially his family."
The documentary comes after a biography on the star - Tim: The Official Biography of Avicii - revealed his final words in a diary entry written the day before he committed suicide.
It read: "The shedding of the soul is the last attachment, before it restarts!"

The documentary also featured Tim talking at length about his struggles, but also highlights how his death blindsided those around him, as he seemed to be finally striking the balance he had longed for.
At one point he said of the relentless touring and fame: "I just know it got to a point where I didn’t like it anymore.
"But my dream would be to be completely at ease with what I have already.
