The Masked Singer UK 2025 LIVE: Macy Gray branded a ‘sore loser’ by fans as she’s unmasked as Toad In The Hole
THE Masked Singer has left viewers gobsmacked after Toad In The Hole stormed off stage in very dramatic scenes.
The singer was one of five characters who performed in the latest episode and she found herself in the bottom two with Bear.
Pufferfish, Wolf and Bush were all saved by the audience during Saturday night's show, meaning Toad and Bear had to go head-to-head in a sing-off.
But when the judges voted to save Bear, Toad threw a diva strop and walked off the stage.
She returned moments later and revealed her identity, which confirmed Maya Jama and guest judge Suranne Jones' guesses that she was US superstar Macy Gray.
Host Joel Dommett then struggled to get more than one-word answers out of the RnB and soul singer as he tried to interview her.
Macy then performed an unusually short song with her mask off before the show came to an end.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to brand the star a "sore loser".
One wrote: "Macy Gray was an epic sore loser. Could she put any less effort into that last song. You embarrassed yourself, its a gameshow."
Another added: "So #MacyGray obviously expected to win. What a bad loser. Glad she got voted off, ha."

Bieber Bear
Bear gave his best shot at staying in the competition with a Justin Bieber number.
Good shout. Everyone loves a bit of the Bieb!
Toad In The Hole, meanwhile, has opted for a far more mellow rendition of Roxette's It Must Have Been Love.
Who would get your vote?
Who's safe?
The results are in.... and Bush is safe!
I really thought she was for the chop.
Pufferfish is also safe to singer another week along with Wolf.
This means Toad In The Hole and Bear are going head to head in the sing off...
Time's up
Bear, Toad In The Hole, Pufferfish, Bush and Wolf have now done all they can to stay in this year's series of The Masked Singer.
After the break, we will find out who is safe and who is in the bottom two following the audience vote.
They will then go head-to-head in a sing off before the judges decide who to send packing.
I fear Bush is most at risk following tonight's performances. Who do you think has their minutes numbered?
Eighties star
Simon Le Bon, Tony Hadley... all the 80s names are coming out now.
Fans, meanwhile, are utterly certain it is Wet, Wet, Wet's Marti Pellow.
Yes, another 80s star!
Roarsome holiday
Wolf doesn't exactly suit Barry Manilow's Copacabana but here we are...
Has anyone else spotted how awkwardly the judges are all dancing behind their desk?
They seem more taken by the giant pineapple/ oven glove than actual Wolf!
Grrrr
Wolf is up after the commercial break and fans have already been speculating about his identity.
For his first performance, he sung David Bowie's Let's Dance.
Since then, a few names have been thrown around but one keeps coming up again and again...
Wet Wet Wet's Marti Pellow!
Jungle clues
So... do you think Bush is someone who has taken part in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!?
Davina thinks it is too obvious, as there are soooo many clues that point in that direction.
Viewers don't think it is someone from I'm A Celeb either.
Fans are utterly convinced it is EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy.
Come on, let's see your trumpet!
Bush's turn
I think it's fair to guess that Bush isn't a professional singer.
But she's giving this Jess Glynn number her best shot. It's not an easy one!
She's got the judges on their feet...but I fear she could be at risk.
Puffed out
Whoever is behind Pufferfish is really belting out this number.
This girl really does wanna have fun!
The judges were up on their feet and Davina was left shouting, 'BRAVO!'
But who is she? Maya is convinced she's a singer. Lea Michele from Glee to be precise.
In a hole
The judges are in a hole with who Toad In The Hole is.
Maya has suggested Macy Gray and Mo is utterly convinced it is Tracy Chapman.
Who do you think it is?
Toad's time
It is time for Toad In The Hole's performance.
This Toad definitely sounds American and we've just been given some interesting clues.
A script titled 'Street Life' and tales of them hopping around 'under the stars' and making it into the newspapers.
Hmmm... does anyone else think this voice sounds familiar? Like, Macy Gray familiar?
Just imagine
Fans of The Masked Singer are going wild online for Bear and plenty of guesses are being banded around.
But the best one I've spotted on social media is Stormzy.
The same Stormzy that is Maya's ex boyfriend.
I mean, could you imagine? Now that really would be awks!
Falling flat
Maya Jama has suggested James Corden is behind the Bear mask.
*Cough* No one else thinks it is the Gavin and Stacey star...
We've had two clues, one about rock climbing and another about factor 50.... and only one is true.
I hate these fact and fiction clues, don't you? They're so random that even the clues that are true don't help!
Bug Bear
The judges are stumped by who is behind the Bear mask.
Tonight, he is smashing Will Smith's Miami out of the park and he sounds totally different to his last performance.
This Bear can rap!
Who's that behind the mask?!
Previous guesses have been Gordon Ramsay, Christopher Biggins, and comedian Tom Davis.
Um... I think none of the above!
Who's on
Tonight we will be entertained with performances from five of this year's characters.
Pufferfish, Bear, Toad in the Hole, Wolf and Bush will each take to the stage in a bid to impress the judges and the studio audience.
The two with the fewest audience votes will go head to head - and the judges will pick who leaves.
And first up is... Bear!
Winter sun
It's a summer holiday special, which is just what the nation needs given the current cold snap.
And wow. How incredible does Davina look in her Baywatch costume? Swit swoo!
Tonight, the panel is joined by the wonderful Suranne Jones - and I am totally here for it.
Let's goooooo!
Stormy night
Here we go - it's finally time for tonight's Masked Singer.
And we are in for a dramatic one!
The character that is booted out tonight was so miffed at being voted off that they STORMED OFF the stage.
So hold onto your hats, it's going to be a wild ride!
Who is Wolf on The Masked Singer 2025?
Each year The Masked Singer invites a new crop of celebs in elaborate costumes to take to the stage and impress the judges with their singing skills in the hopes of being crowned champion.
Fans of the show are already obsessed with working out the identities of the twelve secret stars, who are hiding behind personas including Tattoo, Toad In The Hole, Dressed Crab, Snail and Bush.
Wolf is one of the mysterious masks on the show, decked out in leather boots and a waistcoat.
Wolf took to the stage to sing David Bowie's hit Let's Dance.
What time is The Masked Singer on tonight?
Tonight's episode will start at 7pm on ITV1.
The episode will run until 8.30pm, lasting 90 minutes including advert breaks.
Who is Bush on The Masked Singer 2025?
Bush is one of 12 celebrities taking to the stage during the sixth season of TV's favourite guessing game, The Masked Singer.
Praising show bosses for coming up with the name of Bush, judge Davina McCall said: ''The fact that we’ve called somebody Bush this year is too funny.
''Being called Bush every five minutes by (host) Joel [Dommett] makes me laugh so much."
As well as Bush, the new series welcomes 11 other contestants, including Snail, Toad In The Hole and Kingfisher.
Previous winners of the competition – Season 3 – Natalie Imbruglia
After taking to the stage to impress the star-studded panel and those watching at home, in February 2022, Natalie Imbruglia was crowned the winner of The Masked Singer UK.
The Australian singer, model and actress first rose to fame after appearing on Neighbours in the early ’90s.
She then went on to enjoy a successful pop career, creating hits including Torn, Smoke and Wishing I was There.
After winning the show as Panda, the singer said: “I just loved being Panda. When I put the costume on I would just become Panda.
“I stayed in an American accent the whole time so if I sound weird that’s because I have been flipping.”
Natalie, below, added: “I just had so much fun. I made friends with a traffic cone and a mushroom.
“This is an amazing show and I am thrilled to have been a part of it.”
Previous winners of the competition – Season 2 – Joss Stone
In 2021, The Masked Singer UK returned to screens with a brand new selection of stars.
After battling it out on stage, singer, songwriter and actress Joss Stone took home the title of the winner and was revealed to be the celebrity hiding behind the character “Sausage”.
Speaking about why she signed up to the singing competition, she said: ”Life can be too serious, we should just dress up in chips and sausage and have a sing song.
“This has been the funnest, most hilarious job I have ever had. I have laughed so much.”
Joss, below, has won several awards for her music, including a Grammy Award and has performed in nearly 200 countries.
In case you missed it …
Giant Joel was revealed as…. Mo Farah. Did you guess?
To be honest, Maya Jama kind of gave that one away after she told fans on Instagram that Mo Farah was a “guest judge” on The Masked Singer. Er…. whoops!
Spot the newbie…
Twist fury
Fans were not thrilled by Saturday night’s massive twist at the end of The Masked Singer.
Just as host Joel was about to unmask Spag Bol, he suddenly told viewers they will have to wait until Sunday night to discover her identity.
Fans of the show were left fuming by the cliffhanger and took to social media to complain.
One raged on X: “Nope. Not having that. What’s the point of making us wait? Kinda kills the whole point of the show. If they do that every episode I tech just need to watch the first few mins of each and not the rest. Suppose it saves time.”
Another added: “I’m not happy! #MaskedSingerUK you knew we were going to watch tomorrow anyway. You already drag it out enough ffs even the panel look like they’ve lost the will to live by the end of the show.”
As we later found out, Spag Bol was, of course, GMB’s Kate Garraway.
This year’s panel judges – Davina McCall
Also joining Maya and Jonathan on The Masked Singer 2025 judging panel is TV presenter Davina McCall.
Like fellow judge Jonathan, Davina also joined the panel in 2020.
In addition to putting her guessing skills to the test, the presenter has also tried her hand at singing.
In December 2024, Davina conned the Christmas special’s judges by hiding behind one of the show’s whacky and wonderful characters.
During her career, Davina has also presented popular shows such as Big Brother, Long Lost Family, Million Pound Drop, and My Mum, Your Dad.
