The sad news of "sweetest soul" James Lee Williams' death was confirmed on Sunday evening by publicist Simon Jones on social media.

As tributes from across the showbiz world poured in for the talented star, The Vivienne's final public appearance has been revealed.

The RuPaul's Drag Race winner had starred in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Blackpool just last weekend.

A snap posted by an ITV boss who went to see the 32-year-old's performance as The Childcatcher showed them both smiling.

Sharing the happy memory, the content executive wrote: "Absolutely heartbreaking news about The Vivienne.

"We only saw him at Chitty in Blackpool last Sunday and he was incredible as The Child Catcher. Owned the part.

"So sad for his family, love to all the @ChittyOnTour Team who will be hurting so badly."

The tour started in April 2024 and has travelled the UK ever since.

The Vivienne's rep Simon Jones announced their passing, writing: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved James Lee Williams – The Vivienne, has passed this weekend.

"James was an incredibly loved, warm-hearted, and amazing person.

"Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother, and uncle.

The Vivienne's last appearance on television was during Christmas, starring in the festive episode of Blankety Blank.

They joined Jonathan RossOti MabuseJane McDonaldJoel Dommett and Sara Pascoe on the festive special.

The star's tongue in cheek humour was in full swing on the show, as they gave some cheeky answers that had Bradley Walsh struggling to keep a straight face.
