PRIME Video have axed a hit comedy series - despite it having a 98% Rotten Tomatoes score.

The show has already aired two seasons, with a third on its way later this month.

Harlem, created by Tracy Oliver, is wrapping up its run on the streamer.

It launched on Prime Video in 2021, with Season 2 dropping in 2023.

The third and final season will debut on Thursday, January 23.

Its premise follows four female friends - Camille, Tye, Quinn, and Angie, who met while attending New York University.

Now in their thirties, the group navigate careers, love and life in general.

Main cast members include Meagan Good, Grace Byers, Jerrie Johnson, and Shoniqua Shandai.

Creator Tracy Oliver said: “I’m beyond grateful to the whole team at Amazon for giving me the chance of a lifetime to tell these four Black women’s stories and shoot it in the city I love: Harlem.

She continued by highlighting the "incredible journey" and the show's impact - culturally and on those who worked on it.

Tracy concluded by expressing excitement to "finally share our best season yet."

Joining the core cast are Kofi Siriboe, Logan Browning, Robin Givens, and Gail Bean, who will appear in recurring roles.

Meanwhile, the series has an impressive 98% score on review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.

A synopsis for the final season reads: “Whether it be motherhood, singlehood, sisterhood, complicated career journeys, or even more complicated families, our stylish and ambitious best girlfriends strive to finally choose themselves above all else.”

The first two seasons of Harlem are available to stream on Prime Video. Season three launches on January 23.
