The ITV duo were left absolutely flabbergasted on their own show, Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win by the whopping amount that was won.

The fourth episode of the latest series of the hit gameshow saw filmmaker Dan and textile artist Sarah welcomed into the studio.

An answer to a question about the length of a cotton wool bud banked them a quarter of a million pounds when they used a lifeline.

The 'Take Two' option allowed the contestants to devise their own answer for a tough question and for Ant and Dec to suggest another.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly asked: "To the nearest centimetre, what is the length of a Johnson’s Baby Cotton Bud?"

The guess that was closest to the correct number without going over would count as the final answer.

Dan and Sarah decided to lock in their answer of five as Ant and Dec had just thirty seconds to produce theirs.

The I'm A Celebrity pair deliberated amongst themselves before they reached a decision of eight.

This turned out to be an exact answer, which banked the lucky couple £250,000.

After another tough question about the number of avenues that surround the Arc De Triomphe in Paris, the duo decided to cash out.

After taking away the huge jackpot prize pot, they are planning to buy their first home with their winnings.

The couple are also thinking of building a studio in their garden so that Sarah can expand her business.

Sarah explained: We’ve always prioritised purpose-driven work and our family, so have never had much money.

"And, due to the social enterprise side of my business, we've never had much space and have been stuck renting.

Ant and Dec's incredible career

ANT McPartlin and Declan Donnelly met on the set of Byker Grove in 1990.

The two went on to have chart success under their characters' names - including their 1994 No1 smash hit Let's Get Ready To Rhumble.

They haven't looked back since then, going on to present some of the most popular shows on TV.

Here's a rundown of some of their most popular shows - plus one "dud".

"With our kids getting bigger, I felt like I'd still not created a proper home we could call our own."

She continued: “I’m planning on building an art studio in the garden, so I can grow my work again - including running art therapy workshops and neurodivergent-centred work in our community".

At the end of their round, Ant and Dec could not help but congratulate the couple.
