A CORONATION Street villain is making a shock comeback to Weatherfield after two years away from the show.
Actor Craig Cheetham has signed up to play the role of Eric Sandford once again in the ITV soap.
His return spells a whole lot of trouble for one Cobbles resident as Amy Barlow looks set to be left reeling that her rapist's father is back in her life.
Fans of the show will remember Eric for playing the abusive, alcoholic father of Aaron Sandford.
Played by James Craven, Aaron worked as a mechanic alongside Kevin and Abi and was the partner of Summer Spellman.
However, his character later took centre stage as part of a consent storyline with Amy in which Aaron raped her after a drunken night out.

The Sun has approached ITV for comment.
Amy became a prominent voice for rape victims in the aftermath of the attack after initially struggling to come to terms with the incident.
She began hosting a radio show in which she openly spoke about her struggles and the importance of speaking out.
Recent scenes for Amy on the cobbles have seen her deal with the split of her parents Steve and Tracy as well as her budding romance with Aadi Alahan.
She has also been keeping a watchful eye on her granddad Ken Barlow amid suspicions regarding his carer, Cassie Plummer.
