Love Island All Stars first couples revealed as public vote to put show exes back together
LOVE Island All Stars got off to an awkward start as a public vote reunited Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville.
The ITV2 series kicked off in style tonight with 12 faces from previous seasons headed to South Africa for some winter sun and romance.
But as they arrive, they were thrown straight into the chaos with host Maya Jama already waiting for them.
Later that evening, Maya returned to reveal the results of the public vote – and Gabby and Marcel have been put back together.
As they heard the news, Gabby quipped it was ‘deja vu’ while Marcel noted: “This is strange, isn’t it?”
“Welcome back to my world,” she responded.

The pair were together throughout their shared time on the show back in 2017, even making it to the finals before losing out to Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay.
Remaining a couple for a year after the show was done, the pair unceremoniously split up after Marcel cheated on Gabby after they had a row on holiday in Mexico.
Fast forward eight years, and history is clearly repeating itself for the couple as they reunite in the villa.
Running into each other for the first time in years, the pair have an awkward clash as they face the next weeks in the villa together.

Marcel’s then left to face his past errors in a game, where Gabby hands her a red flag for cheating on her.
He accepts the flag “with pleasure”, but later notes they felt like a “showmance” once they left the villa, which comes as a shock to his ex-girlfriend, sparking an argument Maya tries to defuse to continue the game.
But that’s only the start of their problems when they discover the public have been left in charge of who they couple up with.
As they await to hear the results, Marcel and Gabby air things out, with Gabby admitting she “has mixed feelings” about being back in the villa with her ex.
“It’s nice to see you, but I also think you’re a kn*b. Do you know what I mean?” she tells him.
Marcel takes the swipe on the chin, and adds: “We both just lived since innit… it’s bringing back that past.”

Seizing her opportunity to discuss their break-up, Gabby asks him: “It feels weird. When you think about what happened, Marc, what the f***?”
“I regret it. I regret everything I did and I apologise so much,” he told her.
“I didn’t want to hurt you. Me doing that was out of character for me and I regretted it immediately.”
After an upsetting clearing of the air, Gabby eventually accepted his apology and told him: “I accept your apology. I don’t want it to rule our whole time in here.”
“If you need a man’s opinion, I’m going to be your wingman,” he vowed. “I want us to be friends. I want us to be cool.”
“Seeing him does give me a certain level of comfort in here,” Gabby confessed to the Beach Hut. “We had such a great experience last time. This experience will hopefully be just as good but we probably just won’t be together for it.
