All Stars’ Nas reveals heartbreaking reason he split from Love Island girlfriend Eva – and why he returned to the show

ALL STARS Islander Naz Majeed has revealed the real reason he split up with his Love Island girlfriend Eva Zapico - and why he felt it was time for him to head back into the villa.

The pair, who found love on the first ever winter edition of the reality show in January 2020, sadly broke-up in March last year.

Nas, 28, and Eva, 26, shocked fans when they announced that were going their separate ways after four years together.

Now he's is hoping for a second shot at love, on the show that helped him previously find love.

Nas is currently coupled up with Catherine Agbaje in the villa, and last night the pair had a heart-to-heart about past loves.

Asked about his break-up with Eva, he said: "There was no bad blood whatsoever, it was nothing outrageous."

Catherine then asked why they decided to split, he replied: "Growing apart, I think.

"You know it was a bit of shame because we were together for four years and we met under such surreal circumstances."

He then revealed he wanted to come back on Love Island because it had "worked" for him before, so hopefully it will do again.

Before heading into the villa, Nas exclusively told The Sun how he is still in contact with Eva, as he opened up more about their break-up.

Discussing why they split, he said: "It just ran its course unfortunately.

"There was no bad blood, it was amicable which is really nice, especially spending four years with someone.

"We're still really good friends to this day, I've met up with her a couple of times since breaking up.

"We've just chatted like old friends, I think that's really important.

"I wouldn't want to throw away four years, especially after being put together under such surreal circumstances."

Nas went on to say: "I didn't explicitly tell her I was going in but I think she kind of read between the lines.

"The fact I was going to the gym on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day was a pretty big giveaway.

"So there were kind of enough hints for her and I think she got the message."

Although Nas has ruled out a romantic reunion with Eva, he said he'd be happy for her to crack on with other lads if she was to suddenly arrive on Love Island All Stars as a bombshell.

"I honestly wouldn't mind at all, I think as I mentioned it ended so amicably. I think we both came to a realisation that it wasn't for us and I've always been her biggest fan as well," he shared.

"From my point of view, I'd obviously be extremely supportive if she was in there as well, I'd always want the best for her."

Nas is now back for another shot at "finding the one" and told us: "Love Island was so successful the first time round as you guys can imagine - a four-year relationship off the back of the show.

"I'm hoping for more of the same, but hopefully this time it will be everlasting."

Nas and Eva met during the first ever winter edition of the programme in January 2020.

With Eva having been a Casa Amor bombshell, Nas opted to couple up with her and ditch his then-villa partner, Demi Jones.

The former couple then enjoyed four years together, before the The Sun exclusively revealed how they had called it quits in March of last year.

A source told us at the time that it was Eva's decision to split from the bubbly presenter and he moved out of their shared property shortly after.
