THE Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley has confirmed her footballer hubby Phil will appear alongside her as they land a brand new spin-off show.

Tanya, who first found fame as a WAG before being picked to star on the ITVBe reality show, has long been used to life in front of the cameras but husband Phil has never cared to open up more about his life.

But now, for the first time, Phil has agreed to share his life after the family signed up for their very own reality show.

The family are appearing on the brand new series, The Bardsley Bunch.

Now, in an exclusive interview with The Sun's TV Mag, Tanya confessed it took some "peer pressure" to get Phil to sign up.

The star revealed: "So everyone wanted to do it, except for Phil.

"Yeah, we really, really had to peer pressure Phil. He wasn't interested one bit!

"I mean, they used to call him the snow leopard on Housewives because you just never saw him! He just did, it's not his thing.

"But he’s actually amazing on it when we finally, finally broke him down.

"And because it follows our real life as well, so you get to see him when he's doing his commentating in his own comfort zone and playing golf and Man United and stuff.

"So, yeah, I think he's quite enjoyed it. I don't think he'll ever admit that, though."

She also admitted that he wasn't able to put any rules or boundaries on Tanya after she joked it was a "thankless task".

Tanya continued: "I mean, he knows he can't give me any rules because there's just no point. There's no point.

"And he really knows what he married. So, yeah, it's just a thankless task trying to give me any rules."

In another admission, Tanya confessed the show had been a whopping five years in the making after a slew of attempts to recruit Phil on board.

Tanya added: "He kept pulling out and then we’d pull him back in. Yeah, it was a hard slog. But we got in there and we're just on episode six now.

"So we've made it to the end with him in it."
