MOTHERLAND is back with a brand new series and fans are buzzing to see what the mums (and dad), will get up to next.

When is Motherland on BBC2 and what is it about?
New BBC2 sitcom Motherland airs its final episode tonight, Tuesday December 12, at 10pm.
The six-part comedy is all about the trials and traumas of middle-class mums and navigates the competitive and chaotic sides of being a parent– rather than any "front" a mum puts on in public.
It goes up against the news on BBC One and ITV and documentary Finding Me a Family on Channel 4.

Who is in the cast of Motherland?
Anna Maxwell Martin as Julia
Anna's character Julia is the series protagonist, a working mum who realises her organisation skills haven't a path on the "Alpha mums".
She has starred in Line of Duty as the hard-faced Patricia Carmichael.
She has won two British Academy Television Awards for starring as Esther Summerson in the 2005 adaptation of Bleak House and N in Channel 4's Poppy Shakespeare.
Lucy Punch as Amanda
Lucy Punch's character Amanda is the glamorous leader and Queen Bee of the “Alpha mums” and puts Julia down at every given opportunity.
Everything to do with Amanda's life is organised, clean and sparkly.
Some of Punch's work includes Ella Enchanted, Hot Fuzz, Bad Teacher, Dinner for Schmucks and Into The Woods.
Joanna Lumley as Felicity
Actress, presenter and former model Joanna Lumley will be making a special guest appearance in the series three.
She will play Amanda's mum Felicity who she is forced to have a Mother's Day lunch.
Lumley has a plethora of work behind her, a few of which are Absolutely Fabulous, The Wolf of Wall Street, Finding Alice and Paddington 2.
Diane Morgan as Liz
One of Julia's friends Liz, played by Diane Morgan.
She is best known for Philomena Cunk on Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe.
More recently she starred in Me Before You, Death to 2020, Frayed and Netflix's Afterlife.
Tanya Moodie as Meg
Tanya is back again after she joined the cast in series three.
Meg is a business owner who the other mums love to compare themselves to, but little do they know she loves to have a party.
Moodie has also featured in A Discovery of Witches, Tin Star and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Kevin is the only male in a group and a stay-at-home dad who wants to keep everyone happy.
Actor Paul Ready played Rob MacDonald in BBC series Bodyguard and Harry Goodsir in AMC's The Terror in 2018.
The following year, he was journalist Nick Caplan in the series MotherFatherSon.
