Who is Moira Stuart and how old is she?
Moira Clare Ruby Stuart, 72, was born on September 2, 1949, in Hampstead.
She's one of three girls born to Dominican mother Marjorie Gordon and father Harold Stuart, a Barbadian lawyer.
Moira first began working with the BBC in the 1970s as a production assistant in Radio's Talks and Documentaries department before moving to television news in 1981.
Since then, Moira has presented on every news bulletin devised on BBC Television, bar the Ten O'Clock News.
The veteran revealed in 2017 that she has been forced to quit booze after developing “problems with alcohol”.

What TV and radio shows has Moira Stuart presented?
In a career that spans over four decades, Moira has been a presenter for many TV and radio shows.
She first appeared on TV in 1980, playing the part of Darong in the first series of the sci-fi game show The Adventure Game.
The following year she made history as the first Black and Caribbean female newsreader on British national television, when she co-presented News After Noon.
Apart from news bulletins, Moira has also presented Sunday AM with Andrew Marr, BBC Breakfast, and has worked on long-form programmes for BBC channels, including BBC Four.
Moira first quit the BBC after 26 years in 2007, when the BBC unceremoniously announced her departure.
The statement prompted accusations that the Corporation did not want older women on screen and led to a series of complaints from MPs that she be immediately reinstated.
From 2010 for nine years, Moira was the newsreader for The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.
She was the host of her own music show every Sunday, featuring "timeless classics" from the past 60 years.
She joined Classic FM in 2019, where she hosts her own music show, Moira Stuart’s Hall of Fame Concert, as well as a Sunday evenings interview show Moira Stuart Meets….
In 2021, she is appearing on the Strictly special, partnered by Aljaz Skorjanec.
Is Moira Stuart married and does she have kids?
Moira is unmarried but did admit to that she almost married twice.
She was also sensationally propositioned by Today show presenter John Humphrys who once told her she was “sensationally sexy”.
He is believed to have said: “You're the most sensationally sexy lady I know. The best thing we can do for the next few hours is to make mad, passionate love in the basement.”
Moira made no comment other than to point out that the programme had been recorded for the deaf community which meant the audience could lip-read every word he said.
She has no kids, instead choosing to dedicate her life entirely to her career.
When did Moira Stuart receive an OBE?
Moira was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2001 Queen's Birthday Honours, for her outstanding services to broadcasting.
The legendary TV presenter has received many other prestigious awards, including Best Newscaster of the Year in 1988
She won the Harvey Lee Award for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting at Broadcasting Press Guild Awards in 2020.
