Emmerdale spoilers: Chas and Paddy pay emotional tribute to daughter Grace one year after her death
TONIGHT'S episode of Emmerdale will feature heartbreaking scenes as Chas and Paddy remember their late daughter Grace, one year after her tragic death.
Fans of the ITV soap will be in tears throughout the episode, which begins with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) opening up about how much she is dreading tomorrow's anniversary of her baby's passing.
Last October, Grace died just minutes after Chas gave birth to her and tonight the grieving mum will share an emotional chat with her son Aaron (Danny Miller).
The barmaid tells him that she doesn't want to have be in the village on such a significant day because she doesn't want to have to talk to anyone about it.
Chas also reveals that she wants to celebrate her daughter's all-too short life rather than simply spend the day grieving.
Luckily, Charity steps in to give Chas some time off and she and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) escape the village to remember their little one in private.
But before they go, there are poignant scenes as the couple get together with Aaron for a small gathering to celebrate Grace.
Viewers were in bits this time last year when Chas and Paddy only got to spend a few minutes with their daughter before she lost her battle.
The baby has been diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis, which meant her kidneys were not working properly.
At the time, viewers flocked to social media to share their grief and praise the soap for it's sensitive handling of the subject.
One fan posted to twitter at the time: "Never watched anything so freaking sad."
Said another: "Such a sad storyline but beautifully acted."
"My heart is breaking into tiny pieces," confessed a third.

Fortunately, there was some joy for Paddy and Chas earlier this year when they discovered they were expecting again.
Chas is due to give birth during an explosive week of the soap later in October.
The big week of episodes will also see Moira and Nate's affair exposed and Aaron and Robert go on the run.
