Emmerdale fans horrified as GP Manpreet IGNORES Derek’s sickness before he collapses and dies in front of her

EMMERDALE fans are furious after Dr Manpreet Sharma ignored and mocked Derek's illness before he died.

The GP - who is played by actress Sunetra Sarker in the ITV soap - failed to take the pensioner's complaints seriously when he told her he was unwell.

Instead she mocked him as being a hypochondriac as he told Lydia how he was so ill.

Interrupting, Manpreet said: "What is it today Derek, you've already seen me twice this week."

As he explained how he was sick "both ends" and felt horrific, she dismissed the severity of his illness.

She told him to go home and drink plenty of fluids.

Only when he said he was about to "keel over" did she tell him that he could make an appointment at the surgery - but only if he wasn't feeling better later.

Unfortunately for Derek he didn't get better and when he went to see Manpreet it was too late.

He collapsed and died in front of her, leaving her insisting she did everything she could to save him.

But fans are outraged she failed to listen to him earlier - and claim if she had she could have saved his life.

Things will take a turn for the worse for Manpreet later this week when she decides to steal from Derek's estate.

Spotting a stamp collection worth thousands in his house, she decides to help herself to it for the cash.
