GAME of Thrones fans will be stunned to find out that the show’s ending was entirely mapped out in Bran Stark’s name.
The Westeros fantasy epic wrapped up earlier this year with a divisive final season, which many claimed was "rushed" and "oversimplified".
Even George RR Martin, the author of the Fire & Ice novels which formed the basis of the TV show, admitted cutting down material was “traumatic” and claimed he would’ve liked another five seasons to flesh plot lines out.
Ultimately, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was crowned ruler of Westeros, while sister Sansa (Sophie Turner) governed an independent North and Arya (Maisie Williams) set sail west of Westeros into uncharted territory.
Bran was a controversial choice, as many claimed he squandered the gifts of the Three-Eyed Raven, which include prophecy, by failing to prevent Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) torching of King’s Landing.
Nonetheless, it turns out the youngest of the male Starks’ fate was etched into his very name.
A fan on Reddit was stunned after looking up the definition of Bran in Celtic.
“The meaning of the name is literally ‘Raven'.” they revealed, earning hundreds of upvotes.
“I must say I was amazed at this discovery and once more it shows how the great mind that is behind all this gave us so many little hints since the beginning.”
On top of all that, the Celtic god Bran was also a king, so Martin more or less spelled out Raven King from the very first season of Game of Thrones.

Guess we should’ve seen him being crowned coming then?
The revelation comes after Melisandre actress Carice van Houten compared Bran to “dumbo” as she discussed the “silliness” of the show’s ending.
