Catherine The Great steamy sex scene sees Helen Mirren’s young lover strip off and flash his bum in epic Sky Atlantic show

HELEN Mirren enjoys a steamy sex romp with a much younger man in her new TV show, Catherine The Great.

The third episode of the big budget Sky Atlantic period drama sees 74-year old Helen's regal character slip between the sheets with a toyboy.

The hunky chap then bares all as he flashes both his bum and his privates in scenes that are sure to heat up screens.

The Academy Award winning actress plays the title character, a Russian Empress who ruled from from 1762 until 1796 - the country's longest-ruling female leader of all time.

The four-part series - which began on telly last night but is available to stream in its entirety on Now TV - focuses on the later part of Catherine's life.

During this time, she had several affairs with various men following the death of her husband.

One of these men was Alexander Mamanov, played by actor Andrew Rothney, who is seen in bed with the lusty monarch in these red-hot scenes.

Catherine The Great was dogged with many scandals during her life about her sexual conquests, including a completely false rumour that she died trying to have sex with a horse.

Helen has blasted this chatter as "appalling" sexism and misogyny.

Helen said: “It’s appalling, the way history treats successful, powerful women. It has to pull them down. Her unbelievable achievements were very successful, obfuscated by history.
