Vanessa Woodfield gets arrested in Emmerdale this week

Kerry’s furious daughter Amy holds Tracy fully responsible for what happened to her mum and last night dropped by the house to tell her she’s going to the police about the fight.

Upcoming scenes will as a result show Tracy’s sister, Vanessa Woodfield, get into a row with Amy at the hospital - causing her to accidentally punch a nurse.

The police then arrive and lead an outraged Vanessa – Michelle Hardwick - away.

During last night’s episode Vanessa and Amy almost came to blows when the vet confronted her for covering up the fact she and Kerry stole money from the factory and started the fire.

She railed at Amy – Natalie-Ann Jamieson - for letting the entire village think her dad Frank was a thief before Amy yelled back that Tracy assaulted Kerry and she planned to tell the police.

Emmerdale fans are waiting to see if Kerry survives

But in tonight's episode, Kerry will eventually come around and plead with her daughter to let things drop with Tracy.

Viewers also last night saw how Kerry took a turn for the worse as she went into cardiac arrest.

Actress Laura Norton - who’s played Kerry for eight years – last week appeared on Lorraine and revealed that her character has reached breaking point- so this could be the beginning of the end for her.

Talking about her dramatic storyline and showdown with Tracy Metcalfe that led to her accident, Laura said: “That is the start of her breaking point, there’s only so long that you can suppress that.

“She’s living with this girl (Tracy), she’s become best friends and she’s grown to love her and I think it’s just eating away at her bit by bit.

“So that is the beginning of the end, really.”

Kerry and Amy have spent weeks trying to hide the fact that they were behind the devastating factory blaze which killed Tracy and Vanessa's dad, Frank Clayton, in the summer.

Viewers have seen Tracy – played by Amy Walsh – fall apart after losing Frank and having to deal with the fallout of the rest of the village thinking that he was the one who started the fire.

And when Kerry finally confessed that she is the one responsible for her dad's death, a grieving Tracy was left devastated.

Kerry and her daughter then tried to lock Tracy in the house to stop her going to the police, but she managed to escape and make a run for it.

Kerry was hot on her heels behind her though and the two women ended up in a heated tussle that saw Tracy push Kerry off her - causing her to fall to the ground and hit her head on some bricks.
