Megan McKenna reveals she had therapy after suffering a string of panic attacks
MEGAN McKenna has revealed she had therapy to deal with panic attacks brought on by a tough year that included the death of her ex-boyfriend Mike Thalassitis.
The couple were together for seven months throughout 2018 after falling head over heels for each other.
The couple finally ended their fiery relationship after a string of rows.
In March this year, 26-year-old Mike was found hanged in a park in North London after a cocaine and booze binge.
Megan, 27, has never spoken publicly about the tragedy.
But in an interview with The Sun's Fabulous magazine, Megan hinted she’s had professional help to support her - despite not mentioning Mike directly.
She said: “Obviously, this year I’ve had a few little panic attacks.
“I’ve had therapy, because as much as I have people around me to talk to, speaking to someone I don’t really know just helps me to deal with emotions and put things in the right place.”
Megan had spoken about marriage and children with Mike throughout their relationship.
Saying she had completely fallen in love with him, Megan added: "I do want to marry him – we’d have such an amazing wedding!
"I want three children and I want them all to look like Mike – he’s got nice tanned skin and green eyes."
But Mike had kept his secret battle with depression private for six months before his death.
Megan took time away from the spotlight to deal with her grief, cancelling all work appearances.
A month later she was seen flying out of the UK as she headed to Nashville to work on new music.
She's now starring in The X Factor: Celebrity and will appear on TV screens next Saturday.
