Strictly fans beg BBC to screen results show on Saturday after the axed couple is leaked every week
FURIOUS Strictly Come Dancing fans are urging bosses to screen the results show on a Saturday – because they can’t avoid spoilers every week.
Viewers are calling for the reality TV show to air the results on the SAME night as they’re desperate to avoid the regular leaks.
Just this weekend, DJ Dev Bushell’s departure was outed a day before the results show on Sunday and the spoiler was impossible to avoid.
Every week, the results are leaked as the show is all filmed on a Saturday – with the Strictly team asking the audience to keep the outcome quiet – and hoping they will.
Fans tweeted their outrage to change the format as Twitter accounts have been set up to simply give away the secrets.
Just two of the most popular ‘spoiler’ accounts for Strictly have over 25.4k followers each.
Fans of the show demanded in their droves to have the results aired on the Saturday night to avoid disappointment.
One viewer wrote on social media: “Why doesn’t the BBC show the results live on Saturday night thus ending all the leaks?”
Another commented: “Given that the results of Strictly are widely known through social media by bedtime on Saturday thanks to StrictlyLeaks, isn’t it high time the BBC stopped the silly pretence and aired the results show at 10pm on Saturday.”
Yet another fan agreed and penned: “Not gonna lie, this week is exactly the reason why they need to release the voting figures at the end of the show.”
One fan argued: “The results should be on after Casualty, as it used to be. Doesn’t need to be on both days of the weekend.”
A Twitter user wrote: “The whole show needs a new format. Saturday show is already more than 2 hours without results!”
While another angry tweet barked: “Because if the BBC can con the public over Strictly, they can do it over controversial news stories which matter.”
According to the user behind the StrictlySpoiler handle, the hashtag had been viewed 415k times in the past week by 235k of followers.
The BBC had no comment when approached by The Sun Online.
