Hollyoaks’ Nadine Mulkerrin gives birth to baby with co-star fiance Rory Douglas-Speed
HOLLYOAKS actress Nadine Mulkerrin has given birth to a baby boy with her co-star fiance Rory Douglas-Speed.
Proud Rory, 27, broke the news to fans by sharing a picture of Nadine, 26, cradling their son and revealed the youngster, who was born yesterday, was called Reggie Speed.
The actor, who plays Joel Dexter in the long-running saga, told fans: “Welcome to the family wee Reggie Speed 15.8.19
“We love You man. So proud of Nadine, I didn’t think I could love her anymore but my heart is bloody bursting! She was amazing throughout her labour. Women are seriously Superhuman x”
Nadine, who plays Cleo McQueen, shared her own picture with her new born and gushed: "Reggie Speed . Your the coolest little dude we never knew we were missing in our lives! We love you so Much.
"Also Thank you to every incredible NHS worker we’ve come across at the womens. (Helen,Jordine,Amy,Amy) Your all walking angels. Thank you so much for making one of biggest moments of our lives so extra special with care."
The actress revealed she was pregnant when she attended the British Soap Awards this year - showing off her bump for the first time.
The couple, who met on set of the Channel 4 soap, got engaged back in December after dating for just over a year.
In an interview with Magazine earlier this year, her fiancé Rory revealed he thought for a moment that the love of his life might actually say no to his proposal.
He said: “It was terrifying. I felt like I was on my knee for an eternity and I remember saying: ‘Go on, just say something!
“I felt that she was always going to say yes because we always have a laugh about it, but in that moment when I was on my knee I thought, she’s saying no!”

Rory asked his girlfriend to marry him just months after their on-screen characters got hitched.
The couple haven't got any immediate plans to work down the aisle, with Rory recently telling Inside Soap:"I actually keep forgetting about [the engagement] until people stop me to say congratulations.
"We don't have any plans yet – we're just enjoying the romance of it all. No stress or panic, although I think I have the wedding all planned out in my head."
