Richard told ITV's Lorraine: "Judy has been saying no to everything for a decade now, she won't come back to do telly.

"But she loved coming back to This Morning.

"They've asked us to do it again. So we will, we still have to work it all out though.

"We're not after anyone's jobs or anything like that.

"It'll be like having an occasional party. And it won't be a nostalgic-fest looking back. It'll just be a normal show."

This Morning is presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby from Monday to Thursday, with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford taking over on Fridays.

When Phil and Holly are on holiday, Eamonn and Ruth normally fill in with guest hosts taking over the final show of the week.

Richard and 71-year-old Judy were the very first hosts of the ITV daytime show back in 1988 until their final episode in July 2001.

They returned on Friday 25 for a one-off special and fans were thrilled to see the legendary pair on their TV screens once more.
