STRICTLY Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood made a dig at Neil Jones by saying Alex Scott is "working wonders" with Kevin Clifton.
Neil - who is partnered with the former Arsenal star - was forced to pull out of this Saturday's live show due to an injury, leaving Alex with fellow pro Kevin instead.
However, razor-tongued Revel Horwood appeared to put the boot in during feedback for their American Smooth by saying: "This accidental partnership is working wonders."
She received a seven from Craig, with Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonioli giving her an eight.
Neil explained that he wouldn't be dancing in this week's show on sister programme It Takes Two.
Speaking to host Zoe Ball, he said: "No I won't be dancing tomorrow. I have tried, I am just not ready yet."
He turned to Alex before adding: "Nail the dance, go through, and I am ready for you on Monday morning."
Fans were angry Kevin was chosen as the replacement over Gorka Marquez, as Kevin was already eliminated from the competition with Anneka Rice whereas Gorka hadn't been partnered with anyone.
Sources have now revealed Gorka would have been chosen if he was in the right place at the right time.
Neil pulled out of the show 45 minutes before they went live last weekend and they had to grab whoever was available to complete the dance - which happened to be Kevin.

They said: "It would have been Gorka but he'd gone out for coffee and with 45 minutes to go, it needed to be the fastest option.
"Kevin was there, it was literally a case of grabbing the nearest person so he got the gig."
The source continued to The Mirror: "Now it seems unfair to swap partners again, so Kevin will dance with Alex for the second time."
