IT has been six years since one of the biggest British boy bands called it quits, but I can reveal JLS are set to Beat Again.

Heart-throb singers Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, JB Gill and Oritse Williams are in talks to agree a new deal for the comeback, with the signs looking promising.

An industry source said: “The time is finally right for a comeback, now that everyone has had the chance to do try out other things and fulfil some personal goals.

“They have stayed really good mates and always loved being on stage together. Now feels like the right time.

“They have the best memories from their JLS days and are champing at the bit to give something back to their fans.

“Details are being finalised, but it’s all looking really hopeful and positive. Currently there are just plans for shows and maybe a few new tracks.

“But it if it really takes off for them it could fully relaunch the band.”

The group scored five No 1s during their reign as pop favourites and topped the charts with their self-titled debut album in 2009 — holding Robbie Williams off at No2.

And it gives Oritse something to look forward to following a tough year, during which he was cleared of rape claims.

During their break, Marvin has become a popular DJ and telly presenter alongside his wife Rochelle, Aston has forged a career in the West End, Oritse has released his own music and JB has become a kids’ TV presenter.

No wonder it has taken so long to negotiate a reunion. I’m sure it will be worth the wait.

JLS star Oritse Williams says he wants to get back into music and he's 'written some of the best songs he ever has' during his three years of hell
