Simon Cowell looks slimmer than ever as he goes for date night with Lauren Silverman
SIMON Cowell looked slimmer than ever on a date night with girlfriend Lauren Silverman in London last night.
The lovebirds left their five-year-old son Eric at home to enjoy the opening show of & Juliet - and it looks like Simon has lost even more weight after recently shedding 20lb.
The music mogul, 60, opted for an unbuttoned all black suit, paired with a casual black T-shirt underneath.
He completed his outfit with some smart black shoes and accessorised with some trendy circular glasses.
The couple beamed as they walked hand in hand after the Shaftsbury Theatre show had finished with Lauren, 42, matched her outfit with Simon's.
She looked gorgeous in a classic black LBD, open-toe high-heels and a similar blazer to Simon's thrown over her shoulders.
His weight loss journey was first recognised by fans when pictures emerged of the star at the America's Got Talent red carpet back in August.
He showed off his new trim figure which he achieved through changing his lifestyle and veganism.
After a health scare in October 2017, the X Factor judge knew that something needed to be done - so he ditched the sausage rolls, hamburgers and jam tarts in favour for a new vegan diet.
Since then Simon has lost almost one-and-a-half stone and he looks like a completely different man to what he did two years ago.
Speaking of his drastic weight loss, Simon told The Sun's Dan Wootton: "Within 24 hours I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since. You feel better, you look better.
“I cut out a lot of the stuff I shouldn’t have been eating and that was primarily meat, dairy, wheat, sugar — those were the four main things.”
“Once you get into a pattern I’ve found it quite enjoyable. It has helped me sleep and I wake up feeling less tired.
"I noticed a massive difference in how I felt in about a week. I have more energy and focus and it wasn’t difficult.
"I don’t like to use the word diet because that’s the reason I never went on a diet before — the word diet makes me miserable.”
Throughout his lifestyle changes Lauren has been supportive of her husband to help him through the tough times of trying to resist his favourite naughty foods.
"Yeah, she got it. If I’m sitting there and I’ve got a bowl of vegetables in front of me, she’s not going to sit there and eat a pizza in front of me.
"That would be cruel. She’s kind of gone the same way as me," he said.
