The Walking Dead fans convinced another Whisperer spy is wreaking havoc after Dante’s murder – this time in Oceanside
DANTE may have been eliminated in The Walking Dead midseason finale, but fans think he wasn’t the only spy to infiltrate the allied communities.
After brutally strangling Siddiq, Dante met a bitter end at the hands of Father Gabriel, who stabbed him repeatedly in his cell.
While it’s assumed that Dante operated alone in Alexandria, some viewers are convinced that Alpha would have send double agents to the likes of Hilltop and Oceanside as well.
Among the list of suspects there was one name that kept coming up – Jules, played by Alex Sgambati.
Like Dante, Jules is a recent addition to her town, Oceanside, and has quickly gained the trust and respects of her fellow residents.
The brunette was first seen flirting with Luke in the season 10 premiere before he set off on a mission.
During this week’s episode, Michonne warned Oceanside to be more vigilant about who they let join them after learning of Dante’s betrayal.
"When was the last time you had new people in here?" she asked.
Jules looked sheepish during the exchange and suffice to say fans on social media were quick to point the finger.
“Jules keeps coming up, it has to mean something... it probably can’t be good, Whisperer?” one wrote.
“I'm beginning to wonder whether Jules is also a Whisperer spy,” a second echoed.
A third asked: “So do we think there is a Whisperer spy at each community now? Maybe Jules at Oceanside, who at Hilltop is a good candidate?”
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until February to get our answers, when season 10 will resume.
Elsewhere in the midseason finale, Carol and the gang who set out to destroy The Whisperers’ horde found themselves trapped in a cave full of subterranean walkers.
The Walking Dead will return to FOX and NOW TV in February.
