Kelly Dodd bans new fiance Rick Leventhal from appearing on Real Housewives Of Orange County to ‘save relationship’
REAL Housewives star Kelly Dodd has revealed she will stop fiance Rick Levanthal from appearing on the reality show that made her famous.
Kelly, 44, took to Instagram in mid-November to share a video of the pair snuggling together on a Manhattan rooftop after Rick dropped to one knee and proposed.
But on a recent comment on the social media site, Kelly confirmed that she was planning to ban Rick from the cameras in order to stave off any drama with the other Housewives.
One follower commented: "Keep him OFF the Housewives and you’ll be fine... We don’t need the 'pot stirrer Tamra or Icky Vicki around him'."
Kelly then replied to the comment with a succinct: "Agreed."
Rick and Kelly met in the early summer at a party held by Kelly's Real Housewives co-star Ramona Singer.
"I’m beyond excited for our future together,” Kelly told People in a statement.
“Rick is my best friend. My partner in crime. I’m so in love. I can’t believe this happened to me. I feel like I just won the lottery."
She added: "He said this amazing speech about our love and then got down on one knee and pulled out this giant ring.
"I couldn’t believe it!"
Rick, 59, proposed on the rooftop of their New York City apartment with the city overlooking them; the pair were sat in front of a fire pit with candles and white flowers.
In a new interview, Kelly opened up on their romance and said: "He travelled like four countries to come see me. He is the perfect man. He's the man of my dreams.
"When he went to London and he came and stayed with me, he came and stayed with me, we hooked up right away. Like, two seconds when he came through that door."
Prior to that the couple hadn't even kissed, she claimed, as she insisted that they had an "old romance".
Now the pair write "love emails every morning" and FaceTime one another.
Kelly added, "The guy's f***ing amazing! And he's gorgeous. He's great in the sack," to which Emily replied, "Now I'm a little jealous".
