THE Crown's Matt Smith has been growing close to his co-star Claire Foy, The Sun revealed today.
It comes as the actor is said to have been consoled by his former co-star amid rumours he's split from long-term girlfriend Lily James.
Now, our pictures can reveal just how close the pair really are since appearing on the Netflix historical drama together.
Back in April, the A-listers were spotted together at Dean Street Townhouse in London looking particularly cosy.
In one snap, Claire, 35, can be seen adoringly gazing at Matt, 37, as they enjoy dinner.
While in another, the former co-stars get handsy at they playfully joke around at the table.
The pictures no doubt prove how close Matt and Claire really are behind the scenes.
The actor, who transformed into the role of a young Prince Phillip on The Crown, is said to have been consoled by Claire, who shared an on-screen romance with him as Queen Elizabeth, following his split from Lily.
He had been dating the Downton Abbey actress for five years, but she was absent in photos from his family birthday party in October.
Meanwhile, Lily appeared to hint at a split in an Instagram post last week during a holiday with a pal in South Africa, describing them as “post-traumatic stress disorder buddies.”
Her spokesman declined to comment on whether they had separated, although they have not been pictured together since the summer.
Claire is currently single since splitting from ex husband Stephen Campbell Moore last year.
The couple had dated for four years before calling time on their marriage.
Speaking about Matt earlier this year, Claire gushed: “To me, Matt is my friend and we acted together, as opposed to me seeing him as Prince Philip.

"I think the most important thing is I want to be good for Matt – and, I presume, Matt wants to be good for me.”
