DOUBLE AGENT?

The Walking Dead star hints Michonne will be betrayed by newcomer Virgil as mission to collect weapons majorly backfires

The Walking Dead

THE Walking Dead welcomed a mysterious new character on last week’s mid-season finale.

The AMC zombie drama saw Oceanside infiltrated by Virgil, played by Kevin Carroll, who attempted to steal one of their boats.

He claimed that he was simply trying to get back to his community, which largely kept to itself and was located on a remote island.

He’d allegedly travelled inland on a supply run and insisted he didn’t want any trouble when interrogated by Michonne with a little help from Judith, who slashed his leg as he tried to make an escape.

Michonne ultimately brokered a deal to sail back with him, in exchange for weapons, which he claimed his people had in abundance, as they were living in an old military base.

However, actor Kevin suggested that Michonne may have been too quick to trust the new arrival.

“I just want to tell [fans] that in this world of The Walking Dead, anything is possible,” he told TV Insider.

“At this point I’m just excited for Virgil to get on the map, and start to mix it up in this world,” he continued.

“I am anxiously hoping that the fans can appreciate what this journey is about to be.

“For people who love Michonne, this will be a rewarding piece of the journey for her. I think they’re going to have a good time with the twists and turns of this story.”

When pressed further about what he meant by “twists and turns” he added fuel to the fire, replying: “Every facet of humanity is up for grabs because of everybody’s need to survive.

“I’m going to leave it at that, and tell them to have a great time figuring it out.”

Considering season 10 has been confirmed as Michonne’s last, it’s safe to say Kevin’s words don’t bode well.

However, we’ll have to wait until February 24, when The Walking Dead returns, to get any answers.

Elsewhere, Aaron actor Ross Marquand revealed the true motives behind his alliance with Whisperer Gamma, after his efforts to destroy their walker horde backfired.
