Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse look tense as they leave It Takes Two in a cab together
STRICTLY star Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse looked tense as they left It Takes Two together.
The Strictly dance partners were spotted leaving the London studios in a cab following a week of rehearsals on Wednesday evening.
In the snaps, Kelvin Fletcher, 35, looked sternly at his phone as he sat in the back of the taxi.
Meanwhile, Oti Mabuse, 29, failed to crack a smile as she gazed out of the window.
The frosty moment may come as a surprise to fans, who will doubt agree that the pair have got on like a house on fire since the beginning of the competition.
Last week, it was reported Oti was angry with Kelvin after he missed his four year anniversary with wife, Liz Marsland.
Despite her urging him to take the day off, Kelvin refused and insisted on staying in London to rehearse.
A source said: “All the celebrities were encouraged to be in London this week as that’s where the backing dancers are based.
“Oti knew it was Kelvin and Liz’s anniversary and was happy for him to go to Manchester, but he didn’t want to.
“He takes the show very seriously and didn’t want them to be behind the curve."
They added: “However, Oti was worried his decision may be seen as a reflection on the state of his marriage and the rumour mill would start up.
"She hates the idea people could whisper about them being struck by the Strictly curse. She had a bit of a meltdown about it.”
The partners are firm favourites to win the BBC dance competition.
However, the former Emmerdale star has since admitted there's a chance he could miss out on a place in the final.

Speaking on It Takes Two alongside Oti, the soap star voiced his concerns about the show this weekend.
He said: "We’ve had a tough day today. It’s been a really tough day.”
“It takes me ages to learn the dances. Normally by a Thursday I’m normally just learning the dance.”
"I’m praying it’s going to be enough on Saturday," he added.
The dancing duo are set to perform two polar opposite dances - the Paso and the Quick Step - this Saturday.
