Strictly favourites Kelvin and Oti step up training over fear Anton and Emma will be ‘people’s champions’
STRICTLY favourites Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse have upped their training ahead of tonight’s final amid fears rivals Anton du Beke and Emma Barton are emerging as the "people’s champions".
The former Emmerdale hunk might be favourite to win, but he's refusing to be complacent as they take on the final.
Show insiders believe Anton and his EastEnders actress partner are emerging as the shock winners and will beat Kelvin, as well as fellow finalists Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden.
And it looks like even Oti's older sister - judge Motsi Mabuse - is taking Emma and Anton's side.
A source told The Sun Online: "A lot of people on the show believe Anton and Emma will do it. They have been scoring very high in the public vote each week.
"They are really emerging as the people’s champions. A lot of people seem to want Anton to win it. It would be a fairytale ending to the series.
"Even Motsi has said backstage it would be fantastic if they win and that they have been amazing.
"So Kelvin and Oti are feeling the pressure. They are both hugely determined and want to win.
"They’ve put so much effort in and in the past week have been doing extra hours. They want to end the show with the best dance Strictly has ever seen.
“But they have been saying in the end it might not even come down to the best dancer. They know that Anton and Emma have got a huge number of supporters. They just hope more people will vote for them!"
This "physically gruelling" training has been a strain on the actor, as he's been to the physiotherapist several times a week.
After his last ever Strictly rehearsal, Kelvin told fans: "Just heading into my last physio session.
"I've had physio at least a couple of times a week for the past 13 weeks believe it or not.
"It's so physically gruelling so it's important to keep up with physio and keep your body supple."
The pair have managed to form a strong friendship while on the show - with Oti admitted she sobbed after their last rehearsal yesterday.
