Vanessa Feltz, 57, says she loves spectacular, athletic sex as she shows off four stone weight loss in saucy pics
FORGET the gym, Vanessa Feltz does her sweaty workouts on top of a dishwasher, kitchen counter and in her garage.
The BBC star has revealed her libido has rocketed following a dramatic four-stone weight-loss sparked by an life-saving operation to remove her stomach.
The severity of the surgery means she’s barely able to eat anything when she goes out for dinner with fiance Ben Ofoedu, but the pair now gets their kicks elsewhere - pretty much all over the house.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun while taking part in her sexiest ever shoot, she said: “As long as I’ve got a spring in my step and a bit of ‘oomph’ I’m still in the market for a bit of spectacular athletic sex - much more than the missionary position.
“This idea that at some point you totally go off the sexual boil, well it certainly hasn’t happened to me yet.
"If anything my libido has gone up rather than down, I can’t get pregnant anymore and with empty nest syndrome the great up shot of that is you can have sex in any position, at any time, over the kitchen counter, in the garage, over the dishwasher, wherever. And who’s to say you shouldn’t. While you still want to, you should.”
And on her sultry lingerie shoot, she says: “I don’t feel ready to hang up my stirrups yet, subside into huge night dress and sensible cotton pants - and I don’t want someone to tell me I have to.”
Vanessa, 57, is one of the highest earning presenters on the BBC and has been at the top of the showbiz industry for over three decades.
Her daily routine consists of hosting the BBC Radio 2 early breakfast how at 5am followed by BBC Radio London at 7am before appearing as the resident agony aunt on ITV’s This Morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Vanessa is so in demand because of her forthright opinions and desire to call out naysayers. Indeed, one of the reasons why she stripped off for her glamorous lingerie shoot was in response to the flak her pal Ulrika Jonsson, 52, received for posing up for a sexy shoot for over 50’s dating website Lumen.
The adverts were later banned for “being offensive” and “objectifying women” after heavy criticism from advertising watchdogs. But Vanessa hit back: “I thought she looked sexy, alluring, incredibly glamorous and really aspirational - like a Christmas cracker - just gorgeous.
“The idea that there was somehow something denigrating to women, or inappropriate, or something was objectifying her, when she was the person who chose to do it.
“Are they saying that woman of a certain age have a kind of duty to cover up and it must be against the law if they’re over a certain age? How how f****** sexist is that? I think it’s absolutely disgraceful.”
She adds: “There’s nothing more gorgeous really than a woman who’s confident and happy in her skin and doesn’t mind showing a bit of it, but not too much, and you know, who feels a kind of sexual empowerment, femininity and a sort of an outpouring of pheromones - it’s a good thing, not a bad thing, surely.”
Gliding down the stairs in a plunging, floor-length pink satin gown adorned with lace, glitter and sparkles, with six inch heels that showcase her immaculate pedicure, tanned legs, this is Vanessa’s everyday glam. There’s no Bridget Jones style bloomers in her wardrobe.
And that’s because Vanessa believes dressing sexy only empowers her and it’s a message she wants all people her age to take on board, She explains: “I’m not saying everyone should immediately rush out get a negligee, get their assets out, wear a balconette bra and dangle their boobs, I’m not saying that.
“When people say “I’ve had my day,” or “in my day,” well this is your day, today is your day. Your day isn’t over. I think that’s a terrible shame.
“My mother died at 57 on August 3 so every day past that I’m older than my mum ever got to be - so how am I going to celebrate that?
“Am I going to celebrate that by dressing in a smock and keeping quiet, not offending anybody and trying not to draw attention to myself while staggering on quietly until my grave? I don’t think so.”
Vanessa’s glam transformation was triggered by the removal of a gastric band she had fitted in 2010 following a lengthy battle with her weight. Last year, the band - designed to shrink your appetite - started to become problematic after slipping and becoming entangled around her liver.
For months, Vanessa - who has two daughters Allegra, 33, and Saskia, 30, from her first marriage to surgeon Michael Kurer - woke up every morning feeling like she was drowning as her eyes, mouth, throat, ears and eyes were full of liquid.
After finally being checked out by a doctor, she has the band taken out by surgeons who gave her a gastric bypass during the same op in January.
Vanessa explains: “After my track record I was so poor at keeping the weight off, I could lose it but never ever keep it off, they call me the country’s ‘worst yo yo dieter’.
“So thank goodness I had it taken out and the gastric bypass at the same time and it really does work because you’re less hungry. I’m able to have five Liquorice Allsorts instead of the whole packet which I would have definitely polished off.”
Vanessa and Ben, who is currently playing the genie in panto in Portsmouth, have been engaged for 13 years but despite never walking down the aisle have one of the strongest relationships in showbiz - and now we know why.
She says: “Every time he comes home he asks me to rub his lamp for him and I say yes because that’s the kind of girl I am... and if I rub it right he’ll make all my dreams come true. And sometimes he does.
“Ulrika’s not had an easy life and I think if she rediscovers her spark, which was always huge, then that’s the greatest thing.

“Women of a certain age and men too, we’re survivors, we’ve all been through some shit - I certainly have with a horrible divorce.
“A sort of divorce that leaves you lying on the floor in utter despair, doubting every single thing about yourself and do you feel sexy by putting on a negligee? You sure as hell don’t, but you can eventually get up and dust yourself off, have another bash and live another day.
“I live for another snog, which I really love. I love a good snog, I always have.”
