The Big Bang Theory fans brand show bosses ‘p*** poor’ after glaring Raj continuity error

RAJ Koothrappali has found himself under the microscope as fans of The Big Bang Theory unearthed another continuity error.

Since the CBS sitcom wrapped earlier this year the most diehard of fans have been re-watching episodes on Netflix and picking out all manner of plot holes.

The latest involves Raj’s (Kunal Nayyar) command of Hindi across the whopping 12 series.

On more than one occasion Raj shows off his bilingual capabilities, only to backtrack later in the show’s run.

For example, in season 1, episode 2 The Big Bran Hypothesis, Raj is depicted thinking to himself in Hindi with a voiceover while speaking to Penny (Kaley Cuoco).

However, years later in season 10’s Cognition Regeneration episode, Raj confessed to Sheldon (Jim Parsons) that he never managed to grasp the language.

Later, in yet another U-turn in season 11 episode The Geology Methodology, Raj translates Ruchi’s comments to Howard (Simon Heldberg) from Hindi to English.

Unsurprisingly the inconsistencies , where fans vocalised their frustration.

“In an earlier episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon speaks Hindi. Raj then asks him what it means because ‘he’s never learnt Hindi,’” one fan pointed out.

“Fast forward to a while later when Howard, Raj and Ruchi are watching cricket and Raj completely translates what Ruchi said from Hindi to English! A plot hole, it is,” they continued.

A second chimed in: “There are so many plot holes and continuity errors.

“Many I gave up thinking about, some still are upsetting, I wanted closure. Sadly we’ll never get it.”

Meanwhile user NorthEastErnNomad blasted show bosses for letting the faux pas make it through the editing process.

“I love the show. I do. But whoever was in charge of the continuity – and I doubt anyone took it seriously – they did a p*** poor job of it,” they seethed.

The language gaffe isn’t the only one to crop up in recent weeks.

Fans previously noticed something was amiss with the apartment’s elevator.

Elsewhere an aerial shot called the location of the nearby gas station into question.

The Big Bang Theory season 12 is available to stream on Netflix.
