Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans staying single and co-parenting peacefully with ex Nathan amid divorce from David
TEEN Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is staying single to focus on her three children amid her divorce from David Eason.
A source exclusively revealed to The Sun Online that Jenelle, 28, is making her kids the priority by co-parenting well with ex-fiance Nathan Griffith, who is the father of her son Kaiser, 5.
The Teen Mom 2 star moved to Nashville, Tennessee following the split, while her husband of two years, against whom she currently has a restraining order, remains in North Carolina.
A source told The Sun Online: “She is doing well. She is not looking for anyone or running back to exes. She is living by herself and caring for her kids.”
The insider continued that Jenelle’s relationship with Nathan has been “productive and positive” despite their past nasty custody war.
The source added: “Nothing romantic is going on between Jenelle and Nathan. No line has been crossed.”
In July 2018, Nathan, 32, filed a motion to modify custody, asking for full and legal physical custody of Kaiser.
He accused David, 31, of being violent and dangerous in the court papers.
The dad of two currently has supervised visits with Kaiser every other weekend.
The source said: “Nathan has been seeing Kaiser. The new custody order will be set in stone so both parents are happy.”
On October 31, 2019, Jenelle announced her divorce from David over Instagram.
She wrote: ‘The kids and I have moved away from David.
“Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that's what is best for me, and for my kids.”
The JE Cosmetics owner, who married David in September 2017, continued, “Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.”
On the same day of the announcement, Jenelle filed a restraining order request against David.
Jenelle listed 11 alleged incidents of David’s “abusive” and “violent” behavior from the restraining order.
She claimed in the order that she is “scared” for her life and for her “children’s well-being.”
The reality star also asked in the restraining order to protect Jace, 9, her son from a previous relationship who her mother Barbara Evans has full custody of, Kaiser, and her daughter Ensley, 2, who she shares with David.
hearing in the case.
The divorce and restraining order request came after David shot and killed the family’s dog Nugget in April 2019.
David, who has two other children from previous relationships, admitted he killed the dog for nipping at their daughter Ensley.
The shooting resulted in Jenelle’s firing from Teen Mom 2.
Child Protective Services also removed the children from their care in May.
After a series of court hearings, the case was dismissed and the children were returned in July.
Davidson County Court in Tennessee confirmed to The Sun Online that there is no divorce filing for the ex-couple.
