EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth calls off wedding after splitting from boyfriend
EASTENDERS star Gillian Taylforth has split from her convicted drug baron boyfriend after six years.
She and Dave Fairbairn agreed to call off their planned wedding after a string of disagreements.
They previously split in 2017 before reigniting their relationship.
A pal of the actress, 64, who plays Kathy Beale in the BBC1 soap, said: “It’s a great shame after all this time together but it just wasn’t working out. They’ve called it quits on the best of terms.”
The couple declined to comment.
Fairbairn served seven years in jail after being found guilty in 2003 of plotting to import one of the biggest ecstasy hauls seized in the UK.

Gillian found fame in Albert Square in 1985 and remained until 2000.
She then appeared in Footballers’ Wives, The Bill and Hollyoaks before returning to EastEnders in 2015.
She also famously lost a libel case against The Sun after we revealed police caught her performing a sex act on then fiance Geoff Knights in their Range Rover on an A1 slip road in 1992.
She has two children with , but the pair split in 2009. He died of cancer in 2013.
