STRICTLY’S Dianne Buswell has revealed her grandfather has died just days after spending final Christmas with him.

The pro dancer headed back to her native Australia with boyfriend Joe Sugg for Christmas with her family.

After sharing a series of happy festive snaps over the last few days, Dianne, 30, took to Instagram today to reveal some sad news.

Posting a picture of herself and Joe with her grandfather and grandmother, she captioned the happy festive shot: “Rest in peace pop. I will cherish all my memories with you forever and ever.

“You were a very special man to so many people. You told me so many stories that I will never forget maybe because you told me the same ones a million times but the way you told them I could listen another million more.

“love you so much and I know you will be looking down on all of us I’m so glad I got to spend Christmas with you Xx.”

Dianne – who started dating YouTube star Joe after they met on the 2018 series of Strictly – also shared a series of videos from Christmas Day of her grandfather sitting at the dinner table and listening to a family member play the guitar.

She also shared a funny video of her trying to get her granddad to blink so it would trigger a face filter on her phone.

Dianne’s fellow pros immediately paid their respects in the comments section, with Nancy Xu writing: “Send you all my love my girl, my heart is close to yours. I’m pretty sure that now, He is your guardian angel.”

While Amy Dowden added: “Sending all my love babe xxxx.”

Earlier in the week, Dianne shared a snap with her parents in front of the Christmas tree and told her followers how special it was to be home for the holidays.

She wrote: “Merry Christmas everybody I wish you all an amazing day with loved ones .
