Greta Thunberg changes Twitter name to ‘Sharon’ after Casualty star’s Mastermind bungle
CLIMATE change activist Greta Thunberg has changed her Twitter name to "Sharon" in the wake of a Mastermind bungle over her name.
Amanda Henderson, who played Robyn Miller in Casualty, was asked to name the Swedish teen - but was stumped and replied: "Sharon?"
A clip of the moment from the BBC quiz show - and host John Humphrys' reaction, has now been viewed more than five million times online.
It has delighted fans, with one viewer tweeting: “2020 is cancelled.”
Another tweeted: “Celebrity Mastermind just now a question was asked about a Swedish girl who became a climate change activist. Amanda Henderson's reply: 'Sharon?' I AM SCREAMING.”
And the clip clearly made its way to 17-year-old Greta, with the youngster changing her Twitter name on Friday night.
It was also Greta's 17th birthday yesterday, which she celebrated by going to the Fridays for Future climate protest outside the Swedish parliament building in Stockholm.
It's not the first time she has altered her online bio to make a joke.
Last month, US President Donald Trump tweeted: "Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!"
She swiftly changed her Twitter bio to read: "A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend."
Amanda had done really well on her specialist Mastermind subject - songs from animated Disney films from 1989-1999 - but struggled with general knowledge.
She went up against children's telly legend Paul Chuckle, Dragons' Den champ Levi Roots and comedian Geoff Norcott.
Despite the bungle, she came joint-second overall, behind Geoff.
