Jennifer Lopez fans furious as she’s snubbed for Bafta nomination for Hustlers role
JENNIFER Lopez was "snubbed" and "robbed" according to furious fans taking aim at BAFTA bosses for her lack of nomination for the latest array of awards.
The popstar and actress' loyal following flooded Twitter after the official list of those battling it out for the prestigious film gongs were released today.
They cited the notable omission of JLO, 50, from the Best Supporting Actress category for her movie, Hustlers.
She plays stripper Ramona, a familiar face to guests at an American strip club, guiding newbie pole dancers on the tricks of the trade.
Yet it was her sheer hard work in training for her physically intense role which some felt should have been rewarded with a nod from the film community.
One fan took to Twitter to sarcastically write: "So we're just pretending Jennifer Lopez doesn't exist @BAFTA."
Another put: "Two nominations for Margot Robbie and no room Jennifer Lopez - The disrespect."
One then posted: "Delighted that Florence Pugh has a BAFTA nomination for Little Women, but why (I know why) give Margot Robbie TWO supporting actress nominations but not give Jennifer Lopez one?!"
Another then surmised: "Jennifer Lopez is so much better than some of the supp.nominees. omg she was SNUBBED and ROBBED."
One JLo fan concluded: "Double margot and no @jlo .... so fake."
