Victoria Beckham mocks son Romeo’s vintage IKEA T-shirt as family visit Modern Family set
VICTORIA Beckham has done what mums do best by embarrassing her son about his dress sense.
The star shared a picture of her family taken three years ago whilst on the set of Modern Family, and used it as an opportunity to mock Romeo’s vintage IKEA T-shirt.
Announcing husband David's cameo on the show this week, she wrote on Instagram: “3 years later, @davidbeckham found a new #ModernFamily. Episode launching tonight in the US at EST 9PM! PS- nice T-shirt @romeobeckham”
Victoria wasn’t the only one to find the teen’s choice of attire amusing, with fans sharing their thoughts on Romeo's questionable fashion choice.
One Instagram follower wrote: “Glad I’m not the only momma questioning her kids’ fashion choices!”
Another added: “Romeo, next time I suggest a Lidl or ALDI T shirt”.
Victoria’s throwback snap coincides with husband David’s recent debut on the ABC TV hit comedy.
In an episode aired this week, the 44-year-old ex-footballer stars alongside Friends actress Courteney Cox.
The pair turn up to see a butler played by Extras star Stephen Merchant.
Sharing a handful of snaps from his time on set, David told his fans: "Still can't believe this happened. So excited to finally see the full episode tonight #ModernFamily @abcmodernfam#myfamilycameaswell".
Sons Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 14, and Harper, eight, were equally as exited to visit the Modern Family set and pose with the famous cast.
In one picture Harper sits in a director’s chair while sporting a pair of headphones.
In another, the family are joined by Rico Rodriguez, who plays Manny Delgado.
David made his acting debut in friend Guy Ritchie’s 2017 film King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword.
He admitted he was nervous ahead of filming.
He said: “I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed.
“I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.”
