The Greatest Dancer host Alesha Dixon throws back to her Mis-Teeq days as she MCs on the show
THE Greatest Dancer host Alesha Dixon throws back to her Mis-Teeq days as she MCs for the acts on the show.
The singer, 41, got people on the whole audience on their feet during one of the performances on tonight's show.
As Darius and DJ G danced on stage, Alesha grabbed the mic and began MCing, much to the delight of the judges who got on stage.
Though this is nothing new for the host, as the performance was a throwback to her days as a singer on Mis-Teeq.
The girl band were active from 1999 to 2005 and had hit singles like Scandalous and All I Want.
The Greatest Dancer sees dancers of all ages and styles competing for a £50,000 grand prize - and the chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
During the auditions, fans are competing for the approval of the crowd and if 75% like what they're offering, they go through to the next stage.
They are also trying to impress judges Cheryl, former Glee star Matthew Morrison, Strictly winner Oti Mabuse, and choreographer, singer, dancer and actor Todrick Hall.
Meanwhile, ex-Strictly judge Alesha hosts the show alongside Diversity star Jordan Banjo.
They've already had a few surprise performances on the show, including Dinky the 98-year-old tap dancer.
Wearing a gold off-the-shoulder dress, Dinky walked off to Feeling Good after impressing a packed studio audience and landing a place in the next round.
But despite her top notch dance skills, viewers couldn't stop praising the 98-year-old's body.
One said: "How is she 98 she has more energy in her pinky finger than I have in my whole body #TheGreatestDancer."
Another added: "98?!!?! OMG!! Proof that you need to look after and move your body to stay young! #TheGreatestDancer
Someone else said: "Shut up!! 98!! Dinky looks amazing!! #TheGreatestDancer."
