KALEY Cuoco suffered a major mishap on the set of her new show The Flight Attendant.
The actress, best known for playing Penny on CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, has been updating fans with behind-the-scenes insights via weekly videos on her Instagram page.
However, her latest adventure in Rome took an unfortunate turn when her iconic blonde tresses went up in flames.
Kaley recounted how during a break in filming she was grabbing a drink with her colleagues when she detected a strange odour.
"It smells like someone is burning toast, I'm like, 'It stinks in here,'” the 34-year-old recounted.
“I see one of my girlfriends' eyes go really big... Out of nowhere this guy comes behind me and, what I'm thinking is he attacking me? And he's patting me down,” she continued to her 5.8million Instagram followers.
Things were made all the more confusing due to the language barrier as local Italians attempted to warn Kaley about what was happening.
"I'm hearing someone saying, 'Fuoco, fuoco, fuoco'... My narcissistic brain goes, 'Yes, I'm Miss Cuoco, yes, do you want a picture? Of course'. I'm literally thinking they're saying 'Cuoco, Cuoco, Cuoco,'" she went on.
Fortunately Kaley sustained no injuries, but nonetheless she was shaken up by the incident.
"Luckily, my hair was up and I had no product in… but it started flaming," she recalled.

The star subsequently blew off some steam by enjoying a couple of shots with pals, which she said did just the trick.
"The jacket lived. My neck lived. And we had a great night," she added.
"You see videos, of mostly women, of their hair going up in flames and you think, 'What an idiot, how did she get so close to that? Who does that? Dumb!' Well, I did.
"It was definitely an experience I'll never forget and a bonding moment between me and my cast for them to see me so lit up. It was hilarious, s**t happens."
The Big Bang Theory wrapped last year after a whopping twelve seasons and is available to stream on Netflix now.
Fans of the show recently noticed a major plot hole as Penny’s mother was fat-shamed by Sheldon Cooper (Jim Pasons).
They also noticed something was amiss with Penny and Amy Farrah Fowler’s (Mayim Bialik) eerie portrait.
