Awkward moment Ruth Langsford is forced to speak to Phillip Schofield after making complaint against him

RUTH Langsford awkwardly chatted to Phillip Schofield for the first time on TV since their bitter feud.

They were forced to come face to face when Loose Women host Ruth appeared on the panel alone this lunchtime.

The pair haven't shared a conversation in front of the camera since The Sun revealed that Ruth made an official complaint against Phil.

Every day Loose Women presenters update viewers on This Morning what they've got coming up on the show.

Since the new ITV morning schedule, Loose Women hosts have been going into the This Morning studio to chat with Phil and Holly in person.

But in the usual crossover clip today, Ruth remained in separate studio. Speaking to the camera, she said: "Hello, it's just me, it's just me on my own."

Philip wore a concerned face as he said: "Oh no."

Ruth added: "It's nice to talk to you two."

Phil replied: "You could have come in here..."

Ruth said: "I could have, couldn't I. I'll do that next time..."

Phil joked: "You know where it is!"

It's just across there isn't it," replied Ruth.

"I'll find my way don't worry about it."

She then promptly continued with telling viewers what Loose Women has coming up on the show.

Ruth went to ITV bosses following an incident in April which saw Phillip rudely interrupt her while she was presenting a preview of Loose Women during an episode of This Morning.

In the clip, the presenters clash after Phil, 57, rudely cuts a Loose Women segment short, with Ruth, 59 slamming her pen down in fury.

The presenter was left furious after on-air spat and Ruth complained to ITV’s embattled new head of daytime TV Emma Gormley over Phillip’s conduct.

"After Phillip literally cut her off in the middle of a sentence on air when she was hosting Loose Women she decided enough was enough. Yet again nothing changed.”
