WHITE House Farm had viewers on the edge of their seat for episode 3 - and with good reason.
The ITV drama is based on the 1985 murders of June and Nevill Bamber, their adopted daughter Shelia, and their grandchildren Daniel and Nicholas, by June and Nevill's adopted son Jeremy.
What happened on White House Farm episode 3?
After a vital discovery at White House Farm by the family, Detective Stan Jones felt closer to shoring up his own suspicions about Jeremy and his involvement in the murders.
The arrival of a friend Brett from New Zealand increased tension between Jeremy and his girlfriend Julie.
Ann was also seen growing ever more alarmed and suspicious of her cousin Jeremy’s behaviour, and his handling of the family estate.
As preparations for the inquest continued, Stan was concerned that if the bodies are released for cremation, evidence will be lost forever and he now in a race against time.
What's up with Julie?
Julie has been acting more and more strangely.
She is nervous all time and says odd things like she felt the dead twins' presence in the room.
But at the same time she seems to be completely under Jeremy's spell.
After his cousin Ann accused him of murder, she comforted him, even though she seems more and more terrified of him.
Jeremy felt unloved by his mother
After Ann confronted Jeremy about why he'd had the family dog put down, Jeremy started to rant about how his mother loved the dog more than him.
He didn't stop there though.
Jeremy then went on about how she loved everyone but him.
Jeremy's relationship with his Brett
Jeremy was seen greeting his friend Brett at a train station as Julie watched on.
The two men hugged and complimented each other profusely, with Jeremy holding Brett by the back of the head and around the waist and saying: "You look amazing."
Despite the fact Jeremy's whole family had recently been wiped out in a shocking massacre, he appeared to not have a care in the world as he laughed and joked with his friend.
Clearly unnerved by the display, Julie headed over and introduced herself, interrupting their moment together.
After Brett greeted her, he turned to Jeremy and said: "Awful business with your family, are you alright?"
Despite that being something of an understatement, Jeremy's reaction was even more chilling as he replied with a creepy grin: "Better now you're here."
Jeremy's happy display came despite the fact his family had been shot 25 times in total at their farmhouse.
Later in the pub the pair continued to flirt, which didn't go unnoticed by Julie, who stormed off.
Tension in the family
We found out from a family friend who talked to Stan that there was an on-going family feud with Ann and Jeremy.
It was after Jeremy stopped his father from selling her some land.
The family friend described Ann as being "furious" with her cousin.
The silencer
At the beginning of the episode, Jeremy's cousin Ann and her brother found a silencer for a gun in the cupboard.
She immediately took it to Stan who sent it off for testing and Shelia's blood was found on it.
It was then proved at the end of the episode that his sister Shelia couldn't have shot herself with the silencer on the gun, as the weapon was too long for her to reach.
Stan then raced to the corner's inquest to stop the verdict of murder/suicide being recorded - but was too late.
He now has to try and get the verdict overturned and prove Jeremy's guilt.
