Teen Mom Jenelle Evans’ ex-husband Courtland Rogers is getting divorced from new wife after drug arrest
JENELLE Evans’ ex-husband Courtland Rogers is getting divorced from his wife after his drug arrest.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Courtland’s wife of two years, Lindsey Frazier, revealed she is planning to serve her estranged husband, who is currently behind bars, with divorce papers after
Courtland, 34, is being held on $20,000 bond for larceny, probation violation, felony possession of schedule I drug, possession of schedule II drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lindsey, who shares sons Cameron, 21 months, and Kash, 2 months, with Courtland, told The Sun she is in the process of filing for divorce.
She revealed: “I had the petition written up by my lawyer last week and I’m actually signing it this week and since he is in jail it will be easier for him to be served.
“I’m getting divorced because he has not been an active part of my sons’ lives and has not seen his son Kash since his birth at the hospital.”
Lindsey, who married Courtland in January 2018, claimed she has been raising her children alone with the help of family amid his drug relapse.
She said of his arrest: “It made me sad when I saw his mugshot because I do know he is ‘stuck' in his addiction.
“In the years of knowing him, I have not seen him look like that, but he has to want to change and actually do the work.
Lindsey said Courtland, who has a daughter from a previous relationship, was an active father in their older son Cameron’s life when he was born in April 2018.
She continued: “He just couldn't get away and also not working had a huge stress on our family and he backtracked.”
Lindsey said Courtland reached out to her before his arrest, which was the first to report.
She explained: “I told him he needs help, I don’t want him to die.”
“When he is sober he is a great guy, but sometimes drugs get a hold of a person and doesn't want to let go.”
Although Courtland abused heroin before marrying in 2012, Lindsey claimed fame made it difficult for him to stay sober.
The mom of two said: “When he would go to a treatment center for help, instead of giving him tools and resources for his addiction they wanted to know about Jenelle.
“But at the end of the day it all comes down to choices and he made this choice.”
While Lindsey insisted there is no hope for reconciliation, she wishes her ex “the best.”
She said: "Courtland has issues that I pray one day he overcomes, but I have to do what is best for myself and my boys and our future and that is moving on.”
Courtland has been arrested multiple times through the years on drug charges.
In August 2018, he was arrested for assault, communications threats and interfering with an emergency communication against Lindsey.
Courtland was only married to Jenelle, 28, for a few months.
