Lucy Fallon reveals bid to join Strictly Come Dancing after leaving Coronation Street
LUCY Fallon has revealed she wants to do Strictly Come Dancing after leaving Coronation Street.
The 24-year-old – who played Bethany Platt - opened up about her plans as she was met by hordes of fans while leaving the set for the last time yesterday.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Lucy was greeted by loads of fans as she left the set yesterday.
“It was very emotional, people were crying as they showered her with gifts.
“Some had waited over two hours to say goodbye and one girl had travelled six hours to be there and just to give her a card.
“Everyone was desperate to know what she is doing next and she told them she really wants to do Strictly.”
We previously revealed that Lucy was approached do the BBC dance show in 2018 but was unable to while still working on the soap.
However now she has left, the door is wide open and she’s made no secret of being a huge fan of the show.
An TV insider added: "It's too early to know who'll be on this year's Strictly, but bosses speak to a lot of celebs before they sign the line-up.
“Lucy is hopeful she'll be in with a chance as it's a huge opportunity and she'd get to learn to dance."
Last series her former co-star Catherine Tyldesley took part in Strictly after leaving Corrie. Natalie Gumede and Georgia May Foote have also done the show.

The actress shot her final scenes, which is likely to air in March of this year, yesterday and Lucy admitted how emotional it made her.
She penned a heartfelt farewell message, telling fans: "I’m writing this with mascara all over my face and tears/snot dripping onto my clothes but that’s a wrap... on what has been the most incredible 5 years of my life."
It has not yet been revealed how Lucy will leave but Bethany won’t be killed off – leaving the door open for her to return in the future.
