Mama June to face one year in jail in court trial this spring for crack cocaine arrest
JUNE “Mama June” Shannon will meet justice in a court trial this spring as she faces one year in jail for her crack cocaine arrest.
The Sun can exclusively reveal 40, and her boyfriend, Geno Doak, have a court trial set for May 2020 in their drug possession case, Macon County Court in Alabama confirmed.
The From Not to Hot star and her boyfriend were arrested for possession of a controlled substance - crack cocaine - and possession of drug paraphernalia - a crack pipe - in March 2019.
Doak was also charged with domestic violence.
In October 2019, their attorney entered a not guilty plea on their behalf in the Alabama court.
If convicted, they face one year in jail.
On Mama June: From Not to Hot, June’s daughters Anna, 25, Jessica, 23, Lauryn, 20, and Alana, 14, had an intervention.
Despite her daughter’s pleas, she didn’t seek help.
Honey Boo Boo, whose real name is Alana, has been living with her sister Lauryn after her mom ran off with Geno.
The trouble continued in December, as June and Geno were accused of leaving $1,000 worth of damage after trashing their hotel room.
They were kicked out of another hotel in January over a $2,000 bill.
Mama June has been desperate for cash, as she was for $1,500 earlier this month.
She has even been selling items, such as sneakers for $70, on Facebook Marketplace.
But last week, that she has decided to “get back at it.”
She continued: "I’m not saying I’m perfect as everyday is a [struggle] n some days I just want to disappear n even though me n the kids aren’t still seeing each other n it’s [been] very hard on all of us but I hope one day that will [change]."
The troubled reality star added: “I want them to know I miss n love them very much.”
