The Walking Dead fans convinced major character will die in cave after absence in season 10 trailer
ALPHA'S sinister underground trap could be the end for a major Walking Dead character, if its latest trailer is anything to go by.
The AMC zombie drama will return next month after its mid-season hiatus and will pick up where it left off, with the gang trapped in a cave filled with walkers.

The group found themselves ensnared after Carol (Melissa McBride) gave chase to the leader of The Whisperers, Alpha (Samantha Morton), playing right into her hands.
Alpha lead them straight over a sinkhole, which saw them tumble into the middle of a subterranean horde.
Unfortunately it seems that the group’s escape will come at a cost – and it spells disaster for the budding romance between Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Connie (Lauren Ridloff).
Along with Carol, Darly and Connie, the likes of Aaron (Ross Marquand), Magna (Nadia Hilker), Connie (Lauren Ridloff), Kelly (Angel Theory) and Jerry (Cooper Andrews) all ended up trapped.

However, after combing through the trailer, one fan noticed that while all the other characters appear in multiple shots throughout the trailer, Connie is nowhere to be seen, other than in the cave.
“We do have some footage of Connie, but everything is still with her in the cave,” they wrote on Reddit.
“I’m really looking for footage with her in any other place other than the cave, in Alexandria, the Hilltop, anything. You don’t really see her anywhere.
“There’s also this shot really early on in the trailer during the battle of the Hilltop; you actually see Kelly [Connie’s sister] there but you don’t see Connie anywhere.”

Does Connie’s absence from the footage prove that she doesn’t make it out of the cave?
Connie has proved to be a popular character, not only for bringing out a softer side of Daryl, but for representing the hearing-impaired.
Yet given how dark it is in the cave, it’s fair to say that with limited sight and hearing, Connie could easily fall prey to the walkers.
Perhaps she will end up sacrificing herself to allow her friends and younger sister to make an escape.

One preview clip has shown Daryl outside the cave, breathing hard, seemingly having climbed his way out.
No doubt he’ll be shaken to the core if Connie doesn’t make it out alive, given how close the pair have grown in recent series.
In other Walking Dead news, fans spotted an awkward wardrobe malfunction from season 3 where Andrea (Laurie Holdman) ended up flashing her underwear.
The Walking Dead will air on FOX in the UK on February 24 and be available to stream on NOW TV.
